This work could not have been realized without the support of many individuals and organizations in our global network who believed in our ideas, abilities, and vision.

We would like to thank the Center for Social Impact Learning at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and the D-Prize Social Venture Fund. Through their co-sponsoring of the MIIS D-Prize Social Venture Competition, we were able to obtain the resources to make our vision a reality and affect change in our community in Mozambique. This support was absolutely critical and we would like to thank the Advisory Council, and CSIL staff who worked hard to create this opportunity for us, as well as for all the other opportunities they make available for prospective social entrepreneurs.

We would like to thank the IVERCA Association for their willingness to partner with FutureSpark. Their energy and enthusiasm for creating community-led change is both inspiring and contagious, and we are absolutely fortunate and grateful for the opportunity to work with such a motivating team of individuals. Their role was pivotal in the success of our project and we look forward to maintaining the momentum they helped start through this collaboration.

We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge and thank our incredible friends and family for their support through the process. With their support, we were able to have the courage to take the leaps of faith required on this journey, and for that we express our gratitude and immense appreciation.

Finally, we would like to thank the girls of Mafalala, who believed in our project and were willing to participate and bring their enthusiasm and creativity to every workshop; even when it was a challenge to come to the school, they still showed up, listened, asked questions, and showed their excitement for learning. Thank you to the girls and their families for welcoming outsiders into their community, sharing their stories of courage and strength, and for making us a part of your life and community during this process thus far. We thank them for being willing to invest in themselves and in their community. To the girls, thank you for caring about your future, for being part of this process, for your hard work during the workshops and in school, for all the great work you will do and the great things you will achieve in the future.
